I got a letter yesterday from the unemployment commission. It contained a lot of legal mumbo-jumbo, but from what I could decipher, The unemployment commission agreed with me that refusing to leave a small child home alone in the middle of the night was acceptable reason for quitting. I don't know why, but I woke up this morning feeling very scared. I'm nervous and jumpy, but can't put my finger on a reason. Nothing major bad is going on here, and I didn't have a nightmare. Still, I've got an overwhelming sense of dread I just can't shake.

I went to the unemployment office and applied online for a job. By the time I got home to check my email two hours later, I had a letter in my inbox telling me I had been rejected for the job.

Nice.

I need a job. Any job. I got to get money coming in so I can support my family.

I'm scared.  

I've been looking at the help wanted ads online, and not really seeing much jobs. Most are for Dallas, which is almost 100 miles from here, or just out and out scams like stuff envelopes.  I'm starting to get worried about finding a real job.

I need work.

going thru my list of communities here on LJ, I've come to the conclusion most of these groups annoy me. Either they are about some topic I no longer care about, or they are full of bullshit and whiners. We had several tornadoes yesterday . In fact, I was working at the casino when it happened. I had to convince/beg people to get off the machines and go to the tornado shelter.
